Second gold for Vijay
THODUPUZHA: Vijay Kumar of Army claimed his second gold, winning the men’s 25m standard pistol event of the National shooting championship here on Thursday. Heena Sidhu (Punjab) bagged the gold in women’s 10m air pistol with 481.8 points. She also took the gold in the junior section.
The results: Men’s 25m standard pistol: 1. Vijay Kumar (Army) 573 (tie-shoot 46), 2. Samaresh Jung (AI) 573 (tie-shoot 43), 3. Ashok Pandit (Mah) 567.
Women’s 10m air pistol: 1. Heena Sidhu (Pun) 481.8, 2. Harveen Srao (Pun) 476.2, 3. Shweta Chaudhary (ONGC) 475.2; Team: 1. Punjab 1120, 2. U.P. 1116, 3. CRPF 1106.
