Special Correspondent
Bangalore: Nearly 900 Palestinians have died in Gaza over the last 17 days in relentless Israeli attacks. About 42 per cent of the casualties are women and children, according to official figures. Pedestrian Pictures is screening two films that focus on the complex politics of the region, Occupation 101 and Jenin Jenin on Saturday.
Occupation 101: Voices of the Silenced Majority, directed by Sufyan Omeish and Abdallah Omeish, is a documentary on the history of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Jenin Jenin, directed and co-produced by Palestinian actor Mohammad Bakri, includes testimony from Jenin residents after the Israeli Army’s Defensive Wall operation.
The screening starts at 4.30 p.m. on Saturday at the Institution of Agricultural Technologists, Queen’s Road.
