NELLORE: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan laid the foundation for construction of Akshra Viyala School in Venkatachalam village, around 10 kms from Nellore city, on Saturday. The new educational institution is being constructed by Swarna Bharati Trust run by BJP leader M. Venkaiah Naidu. Mr. Chouhan visited training centres for women and farmers, Residential Bridge Course School, eye hospital, veterinary hospital, old-age home and the Institute of Rural Entrepreneurship and Development, being run by the trust in Venkatachalam. The Chief Minister later attended the ‘Sankranti Sambaralu’ cultural programmes organised by the trust management. Speaking on the occasion, he praised the Swarna Bharati Trust for providing education and medical facilities to the poor in rural areas. BJP legislator G. Kishan Reddy, Andhra Bank Chairman R. S. Reddy, veteran film stars Urvasi, Sharada, comedian A.V.S, film producer Aswini Dutt and others attended the function. The Trust management had organised rangoli competitions for women on the eve of ‘Sankranti Sambaralu’.
