PUDUCHERRY: The Puducherry Nursing Staff Welfare Association has urged the government to restructure the nursing cadre so as to bring it on a par with what is in place in Central government hospitals. “The government has issued an order for revising the grade pay and basic pay. Likewise, the nursing cadre should also be restructured. The cadre has been revamped as per the recommendations of the Fifth Pay Commission at the JIPMER,” association president S. Janaki told a press conference on Saturday.
