About 20 foreign universities and members of the association took part in the fair CHENNAI: The Association of Accredited Advisors on Overseas Education organised an education fair at Hotel Chola Sheraton on Friday. About 20 foreign universities and members of the association took part in the fair, where university representatives interacted with hundreds of students aspiring to study abroad, who lined up at the stalls making enquiries about courses, fees and admission process. A stall put up by the British Council to distribute pamphlets and offer advice on the IELTS examination drew huge crowds. Association president C.B. Paul Chellakumar said that the fair provided students an opportunity to decide what they wanted to study. Subjects such as fashion designing, supply chain management and hospitality were gaining in popularity, while demand had slumped for courses in management and biotechnology. Middlesex University from the U.K., National University from the U.S., Edwise International, Central European University of Hungary and AEC Education Group Pte Ltd. of Singapore were among the institutions that participated.
