Belgaum: The seven Bills passed by the Karnataka legislature between July 1, 2007 and August 22, 2008 have been accorded consent by the President and the Governor. Legislative Council chairman Veeranna Mathikatti said the Bills that had been accorded consent were Karnataka Appropriation Bill, 2008, the Karnataka Appropriation Bill(No.1), 2008, the Karnataka Motor Vehicles Taxation (Amendment) Bill, 2008, the Karnataka Stamp (Amendment) Bill, 2008, Chit Funds (Karnataka Amendment) Bill, 2007, Karnataka Taxation Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2008 and the Karnataka Value Added Tax (Amendment) Bill, 2008.
