Manmohan asks Pakistan to disclose all facts
Special Correspondent
MUMBAI: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has called on Pakistani authorities to come out with a full and complete disclosure of all the facts surrounding the latest terror attack, without attempts at denial, diversion or obfuscation.
Speaking as chief guest at the 10th ET awards function at the Trident Hotel here on Saturday, Dr. Singh said India has shared the evidence that it has gathered so far on the incidents with Pakistan and others. Pakistan has admitted that the arrested terrorist is their national. “We expect Pakistan to take all the consequent next steps against all those who have planned, organised and executed these horrific crimes,” he said.
Pakistan should ensure that nothing like Mumbai or the attack on the Indian embassy at Kabul ever happens again.
He said the Pakistani government had announced that the results of their investigations would be made public in a few days.
Calling on Pakistan to act against the Lashkar-e-Taiba and other terrorist groups and their sponsors, he said it was in its own interest and in the discharge of its obligations under international instruments, apart from honouring the bilateral commitments it has given India at the highest level.
