Presidency takes trophy

CHENNAI: Presidency HSS (Bangalore) claimed the Polly Umrigar Trophy, defeating St. Bede’s ‘A’ in the final of the under-16 inter-State schools cricket tournament by 31 runs on Saturday.

The scores (final): Presidency 203 in 50 overs (Vijay Kumar 50, Sanjit Shankar 50, Pratyush Gupta 42, B. Indrajith three for 38) bt St. Bede’s ‘A’ 172 for nine in 50 overs (B. Aparajith 55, Jitender Scidhanandh 30, Imran Ali three for 16).
