Revenue Inspector held

HYDERABAD: Officials of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Monday arrested Mohd. Yousuf, Revenue Inspector in Karimnagar Tahsildar’s office, after they ‘caught’ him accepting a bribe of Rs.10,000 from the complainant for doing an official favour.

A press release issued by ACB here said Yousuf had demanded the bribe for submitting to the tahsildar a detailed report along with location sketch regarding the disputed land belonging to the complainant. The officials recovered the tainted cash from him.

The ACB officials also ‘caught’ Kummari Balakishan, Tahsildar of Maha Mutharam Mandal in Karimnagar district, while he was accepting Rs.10,000 as bribe for issuing proceedings to appoint the complainant as village servant.

They recovered the cash. He will be produced before the Principal Special Judge for SPE and ACB Cases, Hyderabad.
