Conditional bail for Seeman, two others

CHENNAI: The Madras High Court on Monday granted conditional bail to film director Seeman and two others arrested for allegedly making a speech in support of the LTTE at Erode last month.

In his order, Justice T. Sudanthiram stated that Seeman, T.S.Mani (president, Periyar Dravidar Kazhagam) and Maniyarasan (president, Tamil Desiya Pothu Udamai Katchi) would be released on bail on executing a bond for Rs.10,000 and two sureties for a like sum each. They should also appear before the police as and when required.

The court recorded the undertaking given by counsel that the petitioners would restrain themselves from making any such speech. — Special Correspondent
