Export duty on basmati goes

New Delhi: Aiming to overcome India’s disadvantage vis-a-vis Pakistan, the government on Tuesday removed export duty and reduced the minimum export price for premium basmati rice from $1,200 to $1,100 a tonne. This is to protect the country’s share in overseas markets.
