Pratibha congratulates Obama

NEW DELHI: President Pratibha Devisingh Patil has expressed confidence that under Barack Obama’s leadership, relations between India and the United States would be further strengthened.

“We shall continue to work together for the many commonalities in our vision for our peoples and for international peace and stability,” Ms. Patil said in a message to Mr. Obama, congratulating him on his assumption of office. “We look forward to receiving you and Michelle Obama in India.”
