Congress downplays NCP statement

New Delhi: The Congress on Friday downplayed the statement of its key ally, the NCP, of not ruling out Sharad Pawar as the Prime Ministerial candidate in the coming Lok Sabha elections.

It said the statement was made in response to a “rhetorical query.” — PTI
