Undertrial dies in hospital

HYDERABAD: An undertrial prisoner, Amaraiah (30), died while undergoing treatment at the Chest Hospital in Erragadda on Friday morning.

He was from Piduguralla in Guntur district and was lodged in Cherlapally jail after being arrested in connection with a theft case three months ago.

On January 15, he complained of severe chest pain.

After being treated at the jail hospital, he was shifted to the Chest Hospital where he died today.
