Vatican slams move

Vatican City: Vatican officials said on Saturday they were disappointed by U.S. President Barack Obama’s decision to end a ban on federal funding for international groups that perform abortions or provide information on them. Mr. Obama signed the order that ended the ban, reversing the policy of the Bush administration. “Among the many good things that he could have done, Barack Obama instead chose the worst,” it was quoted as saying on Saturday. — AP
