THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The State Bank of Travancore (SBT) organised functions at various centres across the State to mark the National Girl Child Day (on Saturday). The bank also launched a special deposit scheme named ‘Sukanya,’ exclusively for girl children between 10 and 18 years of age to encourage savings. ATM cards and Internet banking facilities, low minimum balance and accident insurance cover are some of the features of this scheme.
