President, Sonia wish Manmohan good health

NEW DELHI: President Pratibha Devisingh Patil, Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee on Sunday enquired about Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s health condition and wished him a speedy recovery after his bypass surgery.

Mrs. Patil and Ms. Gandhi spoke to Dr.Singh’s wife Gursharan Kaur to ascertain his latest health condition, official sources said.

Mr. Chatterjee went to the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences and met Mrs. Kaur. He wished Dr.Singh a speedy recovery.

Deputy chairperson of the Planning Commission, Montek Singh Ahluwalia, also visited the hospital and met Mrs. Kaur.
