Medical documents seized in connection with Green Park encounter NEW DELHI: The Delhi police have registered a separate case in connection with some medical documents seized from the vehicle of four alleged criminals arrested in Green Park Extension here following an encounter this past week. The papers were allegedly obtained through fraudulent means to facilitate the release of drug lord Sharafat Sheikh, who is at present lodged in Tihar Central Jail, on parole. The documents pertained to the cancer treatment of a woman at the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences who was allegedly shown as mother of Sharafat Sheikh. Investigations revealed that Kuldeep Singh alias Sonu, who was seriously injured in the encounter, was allegedly a close accomplice of Sharafat Sheikh and had allegedly arranged the medical papers to ensure his release. An AIIMS employee is said to be under the police scanner for allegedly helping Sonu obtain the documents. The papers were found in the black Honda Accord car in which alleged gang head Satya Prakash was travelling along with Sonu, Nadeem and Shakeel when the police team intercepted them on January 19. It is learnt that Sharafat Sheikh had come out on parole for a few days last November.
