$400 m World Bank loan for Power Grid

NEW DELHI: Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) on Tuesday signed a $400 million loan agreement with the World Bank to fund a basket of transmission projects during the XI Plan. The loan agreement was signed by S. K. Chaturvedi, Chairman and Managing Director, PGCIL, and World Bank officials in the presence of officials from the Ministry of Power and Finance. — Special Correspondent
