Major highlight of the landmark achievement is the short span of time taken for the migration TIRUPATI: Andhra Bank has completed the formality of bringing 1,001 branches into the Core Banking Solutions (CBS) platform as a Republic Day gift to its customers. A major highlight of the landmark achievement is the short span of time taken for the migration. The bank conducted a customers’ meet in all its branches across the country on Tuesday, while Prasanna Panicker, Zonal Manager, Tirupati, who controls operations in Chittoor, Nellore and Kadapa districts, addressed the customers at the Balaji Nagar branch here. She said that the migration would facilitate seamless transfer of funds through RTGS and NEFT and provide the customers features like ‘Any Branch Banking’, Internet Banking and SMS alerts, besides reducing the lead time in product launches. GrowthMs. Panicker said that the bank was on accelerated growth trajectory and had achieved a total business of over Rs.95, 600 crore as on December 31 2008 and was aiming at a business of Rs.1 lakh crore by the end of the financial year. Meanwhile, the bank formally launched the sale of gold coins at its Sri Venkateswara Oriental College (SVOC) Branch here on Tuesday. Gold coinsThe 24-carat 999.9 purity Swiss gold coins were made available in the denominations of 4, 8 and 10 gm with an assay certificate guaranteeing the purity on par with international standards. The branch manager Suresh Kumar formally handed over the coin to the first customer during the customers’ meet.
