Maruti raises prices of some models

NEW DELHI: Maruti Suzuki India on Tuesday announced hike in prices of some its models, including the recently launched A-Star, due to an increase in input costs and foreign currency changes. However, the auto major did not touch the prices of its popular models, including M800, Alto, WagonR and Zen Estilo.

The new prices will come into effect from January 27.

All variants of A-Star will now become dearer by Rs. 10,000. The company also increased the prices of all variants of Swift. While the prices of Swift Petrol LXi have been increased by Rs. 5,000, for the VXi and ZXi variants the increase is Rs. 6,000. Similarly, all variants of Swift Diesel will be expensive by Rs. 6,000.

Dzire dearer

The sedan version of Swift, Dzire, will now become dearer by Rs. 7,000 (all petrol and diesel variants), while the prices of all variants of SX4 sedan have been increased by Rs. 9,000.
