Union warning

KOCHI: The Kerala State Petrol Bunk Workers’ Union has warned of a shortage of petrol unless oil marketing companies ensured supply of the fuel in retail outlets. A statement from P.D. Vijayakumar, secretary of the union, said that dealers were unwilling now to stock petroleum products because they expected a cut in fuel prices from February 1. The union demanded that the oil companies set aside a portion of profits for the welfare of the workers.
