“Expedite railway station work at Parvathipuram”

Nagercoil: The Kumari Thanthai Nesamony Academy here has urged the Government to expedite the work of Parvathipuram suburban railway station.

According to the co-ordinator, P.S. Raju, on the Thiruvananthapuram–Nagercoil railway route, as the train entered the Nagercoil town, the first point was Parvathipuram. Parvathipuram is the gateway of the Nagercoil town and from here all vehicles as well as trains start moving in different directions. Its location necessitated to have a bus stand at Parvathipuram junction, near the over bridge on National Highway 47.

The long pending demand of the people of Nagercoil town as well as the district that a railway station be set up in Parvathipuram if carried out would help passengers who enter Nagercoil to alight at Parvathipuram and branch off to their destinations, said Mr. Raju.
