TRS leader denies receiving any such letter by party from Maoist leader Sudarshan Party leaders at district level already asked to get feedback from cadres on tie-up with PR SANGAREDDY: After a purported letter written by Maoist leader Sudarshan creating sensation with in the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) and later denial by Siddipet MLA T. Harish Rao of receiving any such letter, the party is in second thought. If not all, at least some of the party leaders were with the opinion that the content of the ‘Maoist- letter’ was intentionally leaked to the media by some ‘vested interests’ who want to serve their purposes. “We know who leaked the information and what their interests are. At the same time, we are not in a position to reveal the names at this stage,” said a party leader on condition of anonymity. After the ruckus that was created in the party with the leakage of information to the media, a serious discussion was going on within the party about the possible tie-up with Chiranjeevi-led Praja Rajyam (PR) party. “We may have to think twice before tying up completely with the ‘Grand Alliance’ as many of our cadres wereagainst sailing with TDP and CPI(M). While TDP has changed its stand only recently, the CPI(M) is still opposing formation of Telangana on principle. How can we convince the people of Telangana by sailing with these parties is a big question,” said a party leader. TRS is in a mood to use the letter as an excuse to change its stand on the tie-ups in elections. Party leaders at district level were already directed to take feedback from the workers on tie-up with PR. According to sources, discussions with PR leaders are already on for past two days and it may culminate positively if the gap widens between the TRS and others in the ‘Grand Alliance.’
