Apart from Rosaiah, K. Yadava Reddy (Congress) and Nannapaneni Rajakumari (TDP) are the other millionaires HYDERABAD: Finance Minister K. Rosaiah and two other candidates among the 11, who filed their nominations for the Legislative Council elections to fill up vacancies from the MLA quota, have declared their assets valued at more than a crore each. Apart from Mr. Rosaiah, K. Yadava Reddy (Congress) and Nannapaneni Rajakumari (TDP) are the other millionaires. In his declaration filed before the Legislature Secretary on Tuesday, Mr. Rosaiah has shown cash balance of Rs. 70,000 besides jewellery weighing 1,240 grams besides a few acres of agriculture lands and houses in Hyderabad. Rosaiah’s assetsHe declared that he owned 1.40 acres of agriculture land in Vemuru mandal of Guntur district while his spouse had 5.26 acres in the same village. Similarly, he owned a house in MLAs Colony in the city costing about Rs. 1.20 crore in addition to another house in Ameerpet, whose market value was put at Rs. 1.25 crore. Mr. Rosaiah has paid income tax of Rs. 4. 28 lakh for the assessment year 2008-09. Land holdingsMr. Yadava Reddy has shown Rs. 75,000 cash in addition to fixed deposit receipts of Rs. 1.60 crore in Bank of Baroda. He owns 30 acres of land in Velimala village in Ramachandapuram mandal of Medak district worth Rs. 1.95 crore besides one more acre in Shankarpally mandal in Ranga Reddy district and two plots in Rajendranagar on the city outskirts and Gurgaon in Haryana. Ms. Rajakumari has fixed deposit receipts of Rs. 4-lakh apart from two sovereign gold and two vehicles. She and her husband own 17 acres of agricultural land in Guntur district. The couple own two flats in Masab Tank worth Rs. 50 lakhs not to talk of 600 square yard plot in MLA’s colony worth Rs. 60-lakh. Other candidatesBarring K.R. Amos and Peer Ahmed Shabbir, other nominees such as G. Thippeswamy, R.Padmaraju, Singam Basavapunnaiah, N.Rajalingam (all Congress) and B. Venkateswarulu and B. Lakshminarayan Goud, all others have filed declaration to the effect that they own agricultural lands ranging from five to 40 acres in different parts of the State.
