Double for Shankar
THIRUVALLA: It was double delight for Shankar Gopan and P.H.Suraj as they won the titles in men and under-21 sections of the inaugural YMCA Jacob Mathew memorial all-Kerala doubles tournament at the YMCA courts here on Tuesday.
Shankar Gopan and P.H. Suraj beat K.K. Manjush Mohan and Vinod Shankar in both the finals.
The duo of Abdul Salam and Menez won the veterans title defeating P.M. Sreekumar and Krishna Kumar in the final.
The results (finals):
Men: Shankar Gopan & P.H. Suraj (Ekm) bt K.K. Manjush Mohan & Vinod Shankar (Ekm) 21-19, 21-17.
Under-21: Shankar Gopan & P.H. Suraj (Ekm) bt K.K. Manjush Mohan & Vinod Shankar 21-12, 21-16.
Veterans: Abdul Salam & Menez (Ekm) bt P.M. Sreekumar & Krishnakumar (Pth) 21-14, 17-21, 21-12.
