Congress differs with SP on Kalyan

NEW DELHI: The Congress on Tuesday said it did not subscribe to the view of Samajwadi Party president Mulayam Singh that the former Uttar Pradaseh Chief Minister, Kalyan Singh, had no role to play in the demolition of the Babri Masjid at Ayodhya. “We have a loose alliance with the Samajwadi Party and that does not mean that we share views on every issue. Both the parties can have different opinions on various issues,” party spokesperson Abhishek Manu Singhvi told reporters on Tuesday.Mr. Mulayam Singh had said that Mr. Singh was not responsible for the demolition of the Babri Masjid.
