Udhagamandalam: The District Judge, the Nilgiris, Krishnamoorthy, on Tuesday sentenced Balakrishnan of Pania Colony, Nellakottai, to undergo life imprisonment for murdering a relative, Mani. According to the prosecution, while the duo was in an inebriated condition in February last year, there had been an argument. In the scuffle that followed, Balakrishnan had assaulted Mani with a farm implement. While being taken to a hospital in Coimbatore, he died.
