2 detained under Goondas Act
Chennai: Two men have been detained under Goondas Act for their involvement in heinous crime cases in Ambattur police station limits, Chennai Suburban Police said.
Police said R. Muniappan (24), who was involved in several crime cases, had abducted a young girl in November last year for ransom and killed her . Police said that he resorted to the kidnapping to settle scores with his neighbour. He was involved in several other crime cases in Ambattur. M. Balasubramanian (29) of Gopalapuram in Ambattur had indulged in theft, robbery and crime cases. They were detained on an order from S.R. Jangid, Chennai Suburban Police Commissioner.
