Two injured in accident

NEW DELHI: Two persons were injured when a motorcycle rammed into the Maruti gypsy of Jafarpur Kalan Station House Officer Baltej Singh around 9 p.m. on Wednesday.

According to the police, three persons were triple-riding on the motorcycle when it collided head on with the gypsy. While one person reportedly fled, the other two injured were rushed to hospital after the SHO informed the PCR van. Meanwhile, villagers who gathered at the spot allegedly roughed up the SHO before the situation was brought under control. A medical examination of the injured purportedly revealed that they were drunk.
