House attacked

KOZHIKODE: The house of a CPI-M activist was attacked allegedly by activists of the BJP at Chevayur, here, early on Thursday morning. A mob attacked the house of Pulparambil Jijeesh and destroyed window panes. It also damaged furniture and a motorbike, the police said. The attack was believed to be a sequel to an attack on a BJP activist, Meethil Rijesh, following a dispute between activists of the two parties over writing graffiti on Wednesday night. A posse of police personnel was deployed . The police registered a case against five CPI (M) and seven BJP activists. Both the parties also filed complaints.
