No cut in plan size
Bangalore: Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa on Friday said there would not be any cut in the 2009-10 annual plan size for the State despite economic recession. The State had a plan size of about Rs. 25,953 crore in 2008-09. Speaking to presspersons after paying tributes to father of the nation Mahatama Gandhi on the Martyr’s Day, he said the budget would be presented in the Legislative Assembly during the third week of February. Preparation to formulate the 2009-10 budget and discussions were being held with the Finance Department officials. After discussing with Assembly Speaker Jagadish Shettar, a date would be fixed for budget presentation, he said.
