BSNL prepaid SIM card available for Rs. 51

This limited period offer will be available at all BSNL franchisees and sub-franchisees of Vellore and Tiruvannamalai districts


VELLORE: The Tamilnadu Anant lifetime prepaid SIM card of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is available at a reduced rate of Rs. 51 from all BSNL franchisees and sub-franchisees of Vellore and Tiruvannamalai districts. It is a limited period offer and will be available till stocks last. The card carries a free talk value of Rs.10.

According to a release, the capacity of broadband had been increased in Vellore, Katpadi, Sathuvachari and Bagayam exchanges. At present, current fixed monthly charges for broadband modem up to 24 months was Rs.50.

There were no fixed monthly charges for modem for the home and business plans of Rs. 750 and above. Broadband service was available at affordable rates for landline customers, and the minimum plan was home 125 in which fixed monthly charges were Rs. 125, and for unlimited usage Rs.750. At present, landline connections are given without installation charges of Rs.500.

It was enough to pay Rs.125 at the time of registration. The balance would be collected in three equal instalments from the subsequent bills, the release said.

The BSNL had commissioned mobile base trans-receiver stations at Agraharam (Gudiyatham), Avaniapuram (Thiruvathipuram), Chetpet (Polur), Salavanpet and Ariyur (Vellore), Betheleham (Ambur), Alangaramangalam (Arni), Asiriyar Nagar (Tirupattur) and SIPCOT (Ranipet) to improve service.

The second adalat was scheduled to be held during the fourth week of February. Customers had been requested to send their unsettled grievances, if any, to the Divisional Engineer (PR), office of the General Manager, BSNL, Thyagarajapuram, Vellore 632001 by February 15.
