TN clinches both titles

CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu won the men’s and women’s titles in the South Zone throwball championship which concluded here on Saturday.

In the men’s final, Tamil Nadu beat Karnataka 15-7, 15-9 while in the women’s section it beat AP 15-9, 12-15, 15-11.

AP took the third spot in the men’s category with a 15-1, 15-1 triumph over Kerala while Karnataka took the third place in the women’s division with a 15-2, 15-3 win over Puducherry.

Raghu (Karnataka) and Anusha (AP) were adjudged the best players of the championship.

C. Sylendra Babu, IG of Police, was the chief guest and gave away the prizes.
