Koramangala in final
BANGALORE: Star-studded Koramangala Kodava Sangha and Banashankari Kodava Sangha will meet in the final of the inter-Kodava Sangha hockey tournament, next Sunday.
In the semifinals at the KSHA Stadium here on Sunday, Koramangala downed Vijayanagar KS 3-1 with goals from Amatr Aiyamma (fourth), Ajay Aiyappa (23rd) and P.M. Mandanna (37th), while S. Varsha reduced the margin.
In the other semifinal, Banashankari outplayed Lopamudra KS 4-1. B. Poovanna (2), K. Bopanna and M. Nitin himmaiah scored for the winner, while K. Neelesh scored the lone goal for Lopamudra.
Later, Vijayanagar KS clinched the third spot with a 5-3 tie breaker win over Lopamudra.
