Aqua adventure camp held

ADVENTURE SPORT: Aqua para-sailing that was part of the activities at an ‘Aqua Adventure Camp’ organised by the Indian Air Force Southern Air Command at Kappil Lake on Sunday.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: As many 385 personnel and their families took part in an ‘Aqua Adventure Camp’ organised by the Indian Air Force Southern Air Command at Kappil Lake.

A press note issued here said the camp concluded on Sunday.

The camp was aimed at promoting the spirit of adventure among air force personnel and their families and also identifying those interested and capable of adventure sports so that they could be given advanced training, the press note said.

Activities at the camp, which was flagged off by group captain M.J.K. Thampi (Station commander, Air Force Station, Thiruvananthapuram), included aqua para-sailing, water skiing, banana boat riding, speed boat riding and canoeing.
