10-bed dialysis unit opened

Mysore: Vikram Hospital here added a new 10-bed dialysis unit to mark the completion of its fourth year. Dr. M.K. Mani, Chief of Nephrology, Apollo Hospital, Chennai, inaugurated the new unit with state-of-the-art facilities. The new unit has internet protocol video-monitoring facility that enables the nephrologists to have constant access of the dialysis unit both from their work place as also from their homes. According to a release, there are plans to provide dialysis on wheels which will take the treatment to the doorsteps of patients.
