Pramod Muthalik granted bail

Madikeri: Sri Ram Sene president Pramod Muthalik was on Monday granted bail by the Additional JMFC court in Virajpet in Kodagu district in connection with a case filed against him by the Gonicoppa police for delivering a provocative speech in 2003.

He was given bail after furnishing a bond of Rs. 1 lakh, his advocate Machamada Nanaiah, told The Hindu. Mr. Nanaiah had filed the “vakalat” in the court on Monday morning seeking bail for Mr. Muthalik.

The Gonicoppa police in Virajpet taluk had registered a case against Mr. Muthalik for allegedly making a provocative speech in the Hindu Virat Samavesha at the college grounds in 2003.
