Letters to the Editor
Sri Lanka’s offensive against the LTTE, branded a terrorist organisation by almost all nations including India, is the culmination of a long-drawn battle against terrorism. The final push should complete the LTTE’s elimination. Except for some fringe elements in Tamil Nadu which have vested interests, everyone knows there is a vast difference between the Tamil citizens of Sri Lanka and V. Prabakaran’s terrorist outfit. The only alternative for the LTTE is to lay down arms and come for talks with the Sri Lankan government. K. Venkataraman, Mumbai Sampath Kumar Swaminathan, New York
