Corrections and clarifications

The eighth paragraph of a report “Shooter Jaspal Rana to contest from Tehri” (January 30, 2009) said that Lt. Gen. (Retd) T.P.S. Rawat, a former Minister in the Congress regime, had vacated the Kapkot Vidhan Sabha seat in favour of Chief Minister Khanduri. It should have been the Dhumakot assembly seat.

In a report “South seizes the initative” (“Sport”, January 31, 2009) the number of overs sent down by North was 130.2 overs, as given in the scoreboard. There was a mix-up in the bowling analysis break up. Awana bowled only 20.2 overs and not 22.2, as published.
