VS: no private partnership in metro
New Delhi: The upcoming metro rail project in Kochi will be on the lines of the one in Delhi but sans private partnership, Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan has said. Mr. Achuthanandan held a meeting with Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Chairman E. Sreedharan here on Tuesday. “I discussed with Sreedharan the details of the metro rail proposal for Kochi. As per our plans, the project will be in partnership between the Kerala government and the Central government, without any private partnership,” Mr. Achuthanandan told presspersons here. — PTI
