TNSTC starts ring service

Staff Reporter

PERAMBALUR: The Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation has introduced a ‘ring service’ covering the main locations in Perambalur town, at nominal rates, following representations made by the public.

A bus will be operated from the New Bus Stand to the Old Bus Stand via the Four Roads that links the National Highway, Thuraimangalam Three Roads, Palakkarai, District Collectorate, Sangupettai, and Kadaiveedhi.

From the Old Bus Stand, the bus will be operated along Athur Road and Kamarajar Curve to reach the New Bus Stand.

Launching the service on Thursday, Collector Anil Meshram said that the bus would complete 26 trips a day from 5 a.m. to 10.30 p.m.

In case of higher passenger demand, more such services would be operated, he said.

The Collector inaugurated the service in the presence of Perambalur MLA M. Rajkumar and Zonal Manager of TNSTC Karunanidhi.
