Techie ends life

HYDERABAD: T. Sandhya, 25, a software professional working with Cognizant Technologies, hanged herself in her house at HMT Hills in Kukatpally on Thursday after her mother took her to task on a family matter, the police said.
A Master’s degree holder in computer applications, the woman was youngest of the two daughters of Sarojini. Her father died 15 years ago and she has an elder sister who is married.
“The victim’s mother maintained that she had a small argument with Sandhya on Wednesday night and chided the latter on a family issue,” Kukatpally Inspector, Surender Reddy, told reporters.
Sandhya was awake throughout that night. Her mother saw Sandhya last in the bedroom around 5 a.m.
Thirty minutes later, she was found hanging from the ceiling fan with her ‘chunni’ tied around the neck.
