Wild growth on tower being cleared

KARUR: Work on removing the wild growth on the seven-tier rajagopuram of Sri Kalyana Pasupatheeswarar temple here commenced on Wednesday. The shrubs and other plants were a threat the icons and statues besides defacing the tower. The temple authorities decided to clear the tower of all wild growth and gave the nod for chemical treatment of the plants.
