Ticket seekers make beeline to DCC office

Police officer among the 120 applicants in Kurnool district


KURNOOL: The seekers of Congress ticket in the next Assembly and Parliament election made a beeline to the District Congress Office (DCC) here on Thursday. So far, the party office-bearers received over 120 applications.

Prominent aspirants

Among the prominent who presented the applications include S.P.Y. Reddy for Nandyal Parliament seat, Shilpa Mohan Reddy for Nandyal Assembly, Saiprasad Reddy for Adoni, Kesava Reddy for Yemmiganur.

Also in the fray are Tikka Reddy for Yemmiganur and Mantralayam, Kotla Harichakrapani Reddy for Aluru and Dhone, DCC secretary M. Sudhakar Babu for Kodumur and DCC vice-president Buchibabu for Nandikotkur and Kodumur.

A police officer Arthur also presented his application for Nandikotkur seat. T. Pullanna, president of District Kuruva Sangham applied for Pathikonda seat.

Gaddam Ramakrishna, brother-in-law of MLC T. Srinivasulu sought for Panyam seat. Kuruva Sangham presented three persons as its candidates.

A host of others also presented the applications to the DCC office-bearers.

Meanwhile, a huge number of minority members applied for the Kurnool Assembly seat as the party indicated a Muslim candidate as its choice.
