Chinmaya, Lions win
HUBLI: Chinmaya Vidyalaya and Lions’ School won their super league matches in the KSCA Under-16 cricket tournament being held in Hubli and Dharwad on Thursday.
While a century knock by Sounak Biswas (100) helped Chinmaya Vidyalaya defeat Basel Mission School by 120 runs, a fine bowling by Prateek Patil (five for 10) helped Lions’ School won against KE Board’s School by six wickets.
The last super league matches of the tournament will be held on February 10.
The scores: Chinmaya Vidyalaya 243 for six in 30 overs (Sounak Biswas 100, Atreya Inamdar 53) bt Basel Mission School 123 for nine in 30 overs (Shashank 48, Bharat four for 32).
KE Board’s School 109 in 30 overs (N. Akash 50, Prateek Patil five for 10) lost to Lions’ School 113 for four in 28.2 overs.
