Course on national leaders for prison inmates

CHENNAI: A course on Mahatma Gandhi, Subramanya Bharathiyar and Swami Vivekananda for prison inmates began at Central Prison, Puzhal, recently. The course is being offered by a non-governmental organisation Sevalaya Charitable Trust.

Director General of Prisons R.Nataraj inaugurated the course, which will span 30 weeks, and distributed clothes to the inmates with disability and the elderly inmates.

Sevalaya Trust’s secretary G.Chitti Babu and Superintendent of Prisons, Central Prison II, S.Rajendran also participated in the programme.
