Open to suggestions from naxals: TDP

Staff Reporter

Errabelli seeks Maoists’ support

Invites naxalites to unveil their agenda openly

‘Encounters no solution to extremist problem’

WARANGAL: TDP senior leader and MP, Errabelli Dayakar Rao, said his party was open to suggestions from naxalites and they (naxals) should not oppose the alliance between the TDP and TRS as his party was clear on the separate Telangana issue.

Mr. Dayakar Rao urged the naxals to extend their support to the alliance and said the TDP had realised the fact that encounters were no solution to the extremist problem in the State.

“It is the Congress which deceived the naxal groups by inviting them for talks. The TDP always had a clear idea on issues before it. It opposed Telangana for sometime but has now decided to respect the sentiments of people,” he pointed out.

The naxal groups should come out openly and unveil their agenda which would be considered by the TDP as it was fighting hard to put an end to the corrupt Congress regime and liberate people from the ‘misrule’ and ‘government run by factionists.’

Poser to PR, NTP

Mr. Dayakar Rao sought to know from the PR and Congress why they tried for an alliance with the Left parties first. He also demanded a reply from NTP why it tried to bring together the TRS and PR if not for gaining power. “The parties which are criticising the alliance have no ideology. All the alliance partners have a common agenda and there is no contradiction,” he said.

Referring to the CPI (M)’s stand on separate Telangana, Mr Dayakar Rao hoped that the party would adopt a favourable stand on the issue. “We will sit together to finalise the common programme which will be favourable to the people of Telangana,” he said. MLC B. Venkateswarlu said it was the TDP which accorded top priority to BCs and not the Congress. Even the PR which claims to be championing the cause of BCs was only giving importance to others.
