MADURAI: Spot fines of Rs. 250 and Rs. 500 will be collected from two-wheelers and four-wheelers respectively if they do not posses emission certificates. According to an official press release, police and Department of Transport officials will be involved in periodic checks of vehicles for emission certificates.
