News Analysis
The seventh paragraph of a report “BJP to focus on ‘appeasement’ policies of UPA” (February 7, 2009) mentioned “abrogation of Article 356 of the Constitution giving a special status to Jammu and Kashmir.” Article 356 deals with the imposition of President’s Rule in a State. It should have been Article 370, which relates to the special status of Jammu and Kashmir. It is the policy of The Hindu to correct significant errors as soon as possible.
